A model's job should not be dependent on a third party answering a message, promoting the right portfolio, or considering an opportunity is worth going as far as the model itself. We created WModels Agency to give models a more direct, clean and professional path to the real thing jobs.
The same need exists in Greece and Cyprus, both in local productions and in the collaborations that take place between the two markets. A single professional profile allows the model to consistently present their work, regardless of the casting city or country.
The model is not just a photo in a directory. He is a professional and should have a say in his image, partnerships and remuneration.
From waiting to professional autonomy
Many models are well aware of the difficulty of the traditional system: endless waiting, limited update, portfolios that are not updated on time and proposals that first pass through many hands. Even a strong professional profile can be invisible because the model does not control when, where and to whom is presented.
In WModels the profile is in the hands of the model itself. It chooses the job categories that interest it, states the experience and his availability, update his information and present the material that truly expresses his professional direction.
The fee you agree remains yours
Our goal is for a model to be able to evaluate a real professional proposal knowing the brief, the date, the budget and the use of the material. The WModels does not deduct an agency percentage from the model's agreed fee for their work.
This means that the professional value of the model is not reduced by an additional commission to the platform. The legal tax and insurance obligations of each partnership still apply of course, but no hidden agency fee is added on top of the model's fee.
Control of image and personal material
A portfolio is not public material without boundaries. Photos and videos have creators, rights and a specific business purpose. For this model decides which material is displayed publicly and which remains in a private collection.
Access to private portfolio is controlled. The model knows who is asking to see it and can approve or reject the request. The projection does not constitute permission to copy, publish or use commercially.
Direct access does not mean casual cooperation
Autonomy does not mean that the model stands alone in the face of vague propositions. The platform organizes the information so that each interest is accompanied by professional context: company ID, casting brief, date, location, job category, pay and usage rights requested.

There are professional agencies that offer substantial representation, guidance and access to major productions. WModels were not created to override this job. It was created to offer choice.
A model may want representation, may prefer to work independently, or may combine different modes of collaboration as they allow his agreements. What we consider necessary is that he has information, access and real control over the decisions concerning his own career path.
