Models for exhibitions and trade-show stands

A successful stand starts with a clear role: greeting visitors, providing initial information or supporting a product demonstration.

To find models for an exhibition, define their duties, the days required, language needs and who handles visitor enquiries within your team. On WModels, search profiles in the Events category and confirm relevant experience directly with each person.

What role does your stand need?

Welcoming visitors, explaining a product and collecting business enquiries are different tasks. Separate them in your brief. A model does not automatically replace your sales or technical team.

  • Welcoming visitors and providing directions.
  • Distributing approved information.
  • Supporting a demonstration after product training.
  • Referring potential customers to the appropriate company representative.

What to check before shortlisting

Look for experience at similar events, communication skills, required languages and availability for every day. Confirm that the person understands the product and the boundaries of the role. Portfolio photographs alone do not demonstrate communication skills.

Pre-exhibition checklist

  • Venue, stand number and meeting point.
  • Dates, briefing times, shifts and breaks.
  • Dress code and who supplies clothing.
  • Team contact, entry procedure and accreditation.
  • Fee, payment timing and travel expenses.
  • A separate agreement if promotional photos or video will be produced.

EXAMPLE REQUEST · NOT A LIVE CASTING

Describe the role clearly

For a three-day trade exhibition in Athens, we are looking for two people to welcome stand visitors and refer enquiries to our sales team. Greek and English are required. The company provides product training, accreditation and wardrobe guidance. Exact shifts, breaks and the fee will be specified in the casting.

Complete the actual dates, location, fee and agreed terms before publishing your own casting.

Questions before you book

Do I need a model, host or salesperson?

It depends on the task. For welcoming visitors and stand presence, look for relevant experience. Negotiation, sales and technical answers require specific responsibility and training; the title model does not establish those skills.

Can I arrange a team for several days?

Publish a casting with the number of people and full schedule. Confirm availability for every shift with each person and name a team coordinator. The platform does not guarantee availability or replacement staff.

Professional access and charges

WModels is a discovery and communication platform, not an agency that represents models or supplies a guaranteed event team. Professional access requires the relevant account approvals and active access. Private portfolios and phone permissions remain subject to the model’s choices. Reading this guide or buying a package does not bypass those checks.

Professional plans and access terms

Models use the platform for free, without subscription, commission or hidden charges.
