Start with sample sizes and brand direction. Search the E-shop category, compare current measurements and relevant images, and confirm the workflow, fitting and availability. Selection should suit the collection rather than a generic appearance ideal.
E-commerce, lookbook or fashion campaign?
E-commerce requires consistent presentation across products and clear angles. A lookbook shows styling combinations and a collection's identity. A campaign has a creative concept and often different usage needs. If combining these in one day, separate time, deliverables and priorities.
How to review a clothing portfolio
Look for different garment silhouettes, natural movement and consistent framing. Confirm measurements relevant to the samples and request updates if they have changed. For short product videos, assess movement too; still photographs do not describe the whole job.
What the production schedule should cover
- Product codes and outfits, not simply garment count.
- Angles per product, video and styling changes.
- Sample sizes and fitting time.
- Support for styling, preparation and changes.
- A suitable private changing space and planned breaks.
- Publication channels, usage period and agreed fee.
EXAMPLE REQUEST · NOT A LIVE CASTING
Describe the role clearly
For a new e-commerce collection, we are looking for a model experienced in clothing presentation. The shoot includes front, side and back views plus short videos of selected looks. Sample sizes, outfit lists and a detailed schedule will be provided. Usage covers the online store and any additional channels agreed in writing.
Complete the actual dates, location, fee and agreed terms before publishing your own casting.
Questions before you book
How many looks can be photographed in a day?
There is no single correct number. It depends on changes, lighting, styling, angles, video and product preparation. Agree a realistic schedule with the production team.
Can I use portfolio photographs in my online store?
Not simply because they appear on the platform. A portfolio is for evaluation. A new production and publication require the appropriate agreement with the parties involved.
