Correct model selection directly affects catalog consistency, production speed, and how the customer perceives the product. For one e-shop photography a pretty face is not enough; it takes professionalism, proper product application and the ability to repeat poses.
Start with the product and the audience
Record product type, age audience, brand style and distribution channels. A fashion e-shop has different needs, a beauty brand has different needs, and a sportswear company has different needs.
Check measurements and fitting
Request updated measurements and determine if fitting is required prior to production. For a large number of codes, strength and consistency in pose are just as important as appearance.
Agreed deliverables and usage
- Number of photos or videos per product.
- Duration and geographic area of use.
- Use in e-shop, social ads, marketplaces or printed material.
- Hours, overtime, fitting and travel expenses.
Created small, targeted shortlist
Use the platform filters and keep 3–6 profiles that really fit the brief. Thus, the final selection is made quickly and with common criteria from the whole team.
